Tredje kvartalet Nettoomsättning för kvartalet uppgick till 2 139 Mkr (2 772) vilket motsvarar en minskning med 22,8 procent. Justerat för valutakursförändringar minskade försäljningen med 29,4 procent. Rörelseresultat uppgick till 193 Mkr (670), vilket motsvarar en marginal om 9,0 procent (24,2). Clarification of the previously communicated impact from the current market situation in the bicycle industry

On September 11, 2022, Thule Group gave a trading update on the negative impact of the current market situation in bike retail. In accordance with the decision of the Annual General Meeting, Thule Group´s nomination committee shall consist of the four largest shareholders as of August 31 each year and the Chairman of the Board, who also convenes the first meeting of the Nomination Committee. Thule Group kommunicerade i samband med halvårsrapporten den 21 juli, 2022, att den generella situationen hos cykelåterförsäljare då var obalanserad med höga lagernivåer av cyklar och cykeltillbehör i stora delar av låg- och mellanprissegmentet, samt att detta kunde påverka efterfrågan på Thule produkter. Denna situation har förstärkts ytterligare och cykelåterförsäljare i hela världen har markant minskat sina inköp jämfört med rekordåret 2021. Vi gör bedömningen att cykelhandlarnas nuvarande agerande kommer att fortsätta i närtid och därmed påverka Thule Groups försäljning och resultat negativt fram till nästa cykelsäsong, våren 2023.

Trading update on the impact of the current market situation within the bike retail sector

Thule Group communicated in the half-year report on July 21 that the general market situation in bike retail, at the time, was unstable with high inventory levels of bikes and bike accessories in the low- to mid-price segment and that the situation could impact the demand for Thule products. The situation has amplified, as bike retailers around the world have reduced their purchases significantly in the third quarter when comparing with the record year 2021. We believe that the chosen approach of the bike retail sector will continue in the near future and therefore impact Thule Group with reduced sales and profitability until next biking season in the spring of 2023.
